DIVINE ORDER FOR FAMILY (Part 1)

HOME OF ARTICLES

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.” (Ephesians 5:22-23 NKJV)

God is a God of order. He hates disorder and confusion. God dwells, operates, and manifests His glory in a place of order. God commands His blessings and manifests His glory only where divine order is embraced and respected.

God waited patiently until Moses had built the Tabernacle according to the heavenly pattern revealed to him on the Mountain and finished setting and arranging all its utensils in their proper position before coming down to inhabit and fill it with His awesome glory (Exo. 25:40, 40:1-38).

Today, many homes or families are void of God’s glory, presence, and blessing because they despise, disrespect, and disregard God’s order and pattern for home or family.

According to God’s order and pattern, the husband is the head of the home. Paul presents God’s order in the family in his epistle.

Ephesians 5:22-25 – NKJV

22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.

Therefore, God’s purposes may be hindered, delayed, or frustrated in any home or family where this divine order and pattern is despised, disregarded, or set aside.

The husband is God-ordained governing authority in the home. However, when the man or the husband who is divinely ordained, wired, configured, equipped, and strategically positioned to be the head of the home is despised, disrespected, disregarded, or displaced, the devil takes over and establishes his kingdom in the home or family.

The Scripture warns, Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.” (Romans. 13:2 NKJV).

Today, many families are under the devil’s influence because they disrespect and disregard God-ordained authority in the home or family. Many families are laboring, toiling, and struggling in vain due to resisting and rejecting the order or ordinance of God for the family (the husband as the head of the home).

Many challenges confronting our society today stem from either the displacement or the inefficiency of the men whom God has created, specially ordained and strategically positioned to be the head of the family, which is the building block of society.

It is families that make up our communities and cities. Whatever happens in the family does not stay within it; it flows out to the streets and cities. Every evil in our society today is an offshoot of the evil in our homes or families.

So, if we fail to deal with the foundation of evil in our families, we cannot deal with it effectively in our society. Whatever will happen to our community, good or bad, occurs first in the families that make up the society.

Therefore, it is crucial for every man or husband who has been displaced or becomes redundant as the head of his home or family to be revived, restored, and repositioned to function efficiently and effectively as the head according to God’s divine order and pattern for the family.

When godly and responsible men take their exalted position and play their unique roles as the heads in their homes, God’s presence, glory, and blessing will fill their homes and overflow their streets and cities.

The first man’s fall, Adam, resulted from his failure or inefficiency as the head of his family or home. When the devil came around to tempt Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, it might have been a different story if Adam had accosted or confronted the devil, who subtly came to them like a serpent.

When Eve took Adam’s place in the Garden as the one whom God had put in charge, it became easy for the devil to usurp the position and authority of Adam. Paul reveals this truth.

1 Timothy 2:14 – NKJV

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.

Sadly, many wives today have also usurped the position and authority of their husbands in the home, contrary to God’s order and pattern. Consequently, the devil is reigning unhindered today in many homes and families.

Many wives never deliberately set out to usurp their husbands’ authority or responsibility but for their husbands’ failure, inefficiency, or irresponsibility. Unfortunately, many men or husbands today are ignorant of what God expects of them as the heads of their families.

Therefore, if God’s order for the family will be fully restored in any family, the man or the husband must wake up to his God-given responsibilities as the head of the family.

Beloved, understanding your physical head’s strategic position or function in your body will give you a good clue about your position, purpose, or responsibilities as the spiritual head of your body (family).

What are the unique functions of the head in the physical body?

Find out in the second part of this piece!

Prayer:

Dear Holy Spirit, open my eyes of understanding to my unique divine position and purpose as the head of my family, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

YOU HAVE GOD’S LIFE IN YOU

HOME OF ARTICLES  “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12 NKJV).   At the point of New Birth, the believers become the partakers of the very life of God—the everlasting life. Jesus said,  “ Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life .” (John 6:47 NKJV). John the Beloved testifies,  “ And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.   He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life . (1 John 5:11-12   NKJV). Everlasting life is not a future promise but a present reality, possession, or inheritance of the New Creation in Christ. The Life Jesus gives those who believe in Him is spiritual, divine, supernatural, heavenly, limitless, timeless, or everlasting. It is not inferior in any respect to the Life...

THE PARABLE OF THE TARES OF THE FIELD (Part 1)

HOME OF ARTICLES  “ The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.” (Matthew 13:38 NKJV)   After the Lord Jesus had privately explained the parable of the Sower to His disciples, He put forth another parable about the tares of the field to the great multitude that was gathered to Him by the sea. Matthew 13:24-30 – NKJV  24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;  25 “but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  26 “But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.  27 “So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’  28 “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’  29 “But he said, ...

KINGDOM LIVING

HOME OF ARTICLES  E niyekpemi Fidelis Oyinpreyebi. KINGDOM LIVING There was a challenge in how the disciples understood the presence of God to be. They had a terrible reverence for that presence. - The presence that killed Aaron’s two sons (Leviticus 10:1-2) - Uzzah died when he grabbed hold of the Ark of the covenant (2 Samuel 6:6-7) - The presence that could kill the High priest if he carnally entered the Holy of Hollies. He had to take many precautions to ensure he was ritually pure and still with a back up priest in case it all goes wrong (Exodus 28:33-35) The presence had strict protocols, living that life was a dangerous one – I believe you will agree with me too. Moses gave them very specific instructions on how to approach the mountain. They could not “come as they were” but had to sanctify themselves.  They had to wear clean clothes and abstain from sexual relations. Once they got to the mountain,  they could not contact(touch anything) or they would die. - They ...
