UNDERSTANDING DIVINE DELAY (Part 2)

 HOME OF ARTICLES

“And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.” (Genesis 45:7 NKJV)

Joseph (the dreamer) saw the picture of the future God had ordained for him at a young age; however, it took him several years to understand God’s purpose for such a glorious future.

While Joseph was convinced through his many spectacular dreams that he would be great and influential in life, he was ignorant of the purpose of the greatness, dominion, and influence God wanted to give him. Therefore, God had to take him through a process so that he might understand His purpose.

Early in his life, Joseph might have wrongly concluded that the dreams and blessings God had prepared for him were all about him and for him. Later in life, Joseph realized and testified that it was God’s plan and purpose to save many lives and preserve posterity for the children of Israel.

Joseph testified to his brothers, saying, God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.” (Gen. 45:7 NKJV).

Similarly, until you clearly understand God’s purpose for the dream or vision He has given you, the time is not yet ripe, and the stage is not yet set for fulfilling that dream or vision.

Moreover, just as God did for Joseph, God would need to take you through a process to see, know, and clearly understand God’s purpose for the dream and vision He has given you.

Like Joseph, most times, we also think and act as though God is as narrow-minded and self-centered as we are, and so all that God cares about is only our joy, deliverance, victory, comfort, success, breakthrough, or prosperity.

How ignorant and mistaken we are!

God is a big God; He has a big heart, vision, plan, or purpose that includes everyone and everything He has created.

Therefore, it is sheer ignorance to expect God to endorse, support, or help you accomplish your selfish ambitions and dreams. God does not only love and care about you; He loves and cares about others, too.

God’s purpose is one of the significant factors determining when God will manifest His power and glory in your life or situation. Until you understand that what God gives you is not just for you but for accomplishing His purpose on earth, you are not yet mature enough to bless others.

Today, many believers erroneously think that their pleasure, satisfaction, happiness, or enjoyment is more important to God than accomplishing His purpose on earth.

Therefore, they think and behave in such a way that suggests that God is only concerned about them and no one else. They don’t understand that they are created for God’s pleasure and purpose (Rev. 4:11).

Beloved, you need to know, understand, and walk in the light of the truth that God does not exist to endorse, support, or fulfill your selfish pleasure and ambition. Instead, you live to fulfill God’s pleasure and purpose.

God’s blessing is not just for your consumption, satisfaction, or gratification but for accomplishing His purposes on earth!

The Scripture amply testifies to this truth.

Revelation 4:11 – KJV

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Isaiah 43:7 – NKJV

7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.

Like Joseph, until your mindset shifts from self to God, you are not yet ready, prepared, or mature for God to manifest His power and glory in your life and situation.

You are not yet mature enough to manage God’s resources until you know and understand that you exist for God’s pleasure, purpose, and glory.

When God gives you what you seek without understanding His purpose for providing it, you will undoubtedly abuse what God has given you and consume it with your lust, thereby frustrating God’s purpose and depriving many people of their blessings.

James writes, You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.” (Jam. 4:3 NKJV).

Therefore, the earlier you understand and embrace God’s purpose for your life, the earlier you will see God manifesting His power and glory in and through your life and situation.

Beloved, God’s plan or purpose is not just about you; it is far bigger than you, so enlarge your heart!

Prayer:

My Dear Heavenly Father, deliver me today from self-centered ness. But enlarge my heart to love and bless others, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our mandate is to preserve the faith of the Apostolic Generation.

YOU HAVE GOD’S LIFE IN YOU

HOME OF ARTICLES  “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12 NKJV).   At the point of New Birth, the believers become the partakers of the very life of God—the everlasting life. Jesus said,  “ Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life .” (John 6:47 NKJV). John the Beloved testifies,  “ And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.   He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life . (1 John 5:11-12   NKJV). Everlasting life is not a future promise but a present reality, possession, or inheritance of the New Creation in Christ. The Life Jesus gives those who believe in Him is spiritual, divine, supernatural, heavenly, limitless, timeless, or everlasting. It is not inferior in any respect to the Life...

THE PARABLE OF THE TARES OF THE FIELD (Part 1)

HOME OF ARTICLES  “ The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.” (Matthew 13:38 NKJV)   After the Lord Jesus had privately explained the parable of the Sower to His disciples, He put forth another parable about the tares of the field to the great multitude that was gathered to Him by the sea. Matthew 13:24-30 – NKJV  24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;  25 “but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  26 “But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.  27 “So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’  28 “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’  29 “But he said, ...

KINGDOM LIVING

HOME OF ARTICLES  E niyekpemi Fidelis Oyinpreyebi. KINGDOM LIVING There was a challenge in how the disciples understood the presence of God to be. They had a terrible reverence for that presence. - The presence that killed Aaron’s two sons (Leviticus 10:1-2) - Uzzah died when he grabbed hold of the Ark of the covenant (2 Samuel 6:6-7) - The presence that could kill the High priest if he carnally entered the Holy of Hollies. He had to take many precautions to ensure he was ritually pure and still with a back up priest in case it all goes wrong (Exodus 28:33-35) The presence had strict protocols, living that life was a dangerous one – I believe you will agree with me too. Moses gave them very specific instructions on how to approach the mountain. They could not “come as they were” but had to sanctify themselves.  They had to wear clean clothes and abstain from sexual relations. Once they got to the mountain,  they could not contact(touch anything) or they would die. - They ...
