𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘀:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲?

Marriage is the Covenant Union between two mature adults of opposite sexes for the purpose of PROCREATION, PLEASURE and MUTUAL PARTNERSHIP in the pursuit of their GOD GIVEN DESTINY.

In every covenant, there’s an established order. There’s a stronger party and a weaker party. Marriage is also like a partnership there is a senior partner and a junior partner.

   In marriage the man is the head while the woman (the wife) is the body just as Christ is the head of the church and the Church is the body.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿?

1. An Order is a group of people united in a formal way

2. An order is an organized arrangement of people according to the level of priority or rank

3. Order can simply mean Rank

4. Lastly Order means Level

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿:

1. An established order is a widely accepted or recognized practice, tradition or custom.

2. An established order is an accepted pattern of behavior or practice that is accepted because of its success through the years.

In God’s scheme of things, the blessing follows order. Whenever there’s a proper structural order in the kingdom of God, the blessings and the favor of God will flow.

For instance, if you observe the curse placed on Adam and Eve you will observe that the curse is a consequence of disorder. Man was meant to dominate the animal but his wife yielded to the counsel of the serpent instead of the counsel of God the Highest Authority.

The man yielded to his wife instead of refusing to consent to any advice, suggestion or counsel that is contrary to the Highest Directive which is from God and His Word. Man’s intentional act of disobedience and rebellion brought about terrible consequences. All human calamity is traceable to disorder. See Job 36:11-12; Isaiah 1:19-20.

Order is the accurate arrangement of things in its place. In the home, the first and the foremost in rank is God. He is the Highest authority in the home. He brought them together. They are both loving subjects of His Kingdom, so He determines the rules of engagement and the laws that guide all the activities of the home.

So long as God is honored in the home and His Word rules as final authority in the home there will be blessings and favor upon the couple and their home. This is obvious from the home of our father Abraham who is described as the father of our faith.

Genesis 18:19 KJV

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

Abraham was a man who obeyed God so he earned the right to lead. How do we mean? When a man is truly under God’s authority he gains authority and influence in His home powerfully. Any man who seeks to be a leader over his home in such a way that his children obey him must be a man who is submissive to God in truth: Both in private and in public.

Genesis 3:17 KJV

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

When a man disobeys God, he brings his family under a curse. God wants a submissive man, a man after his own heart; a man who follows His instructions and does what He says. Once God finds that kind of man he blesses him and his family. See Genesis 22:1-22; 1 Samuel 13:13-14; 2 Samuel 7:1-29; Psalm 115:12-15.

Every couple must recognize God as the Lord of their home, His Word as His Rules for their household and His Spirit as the Guide for their home. They must see themselves as loving subjects of Christ their king.

Furthermore, God must be consulted before any decision is taken. The father of the home must acknowledge that God is the true head of the home while he is God’s vice regent enforcing the will and the directive of God.

When God has His rightful place of recognition and honor in a home the blessing flows unhindered, the favor is massive and the supplies unlimited. Is your home in order? Is the Word of God final authority in your home? Does God have his place in your heart and in your home? That is where marital peace and marital bliss starts from. Selah
