YOU ARE GOD’S BELOVED

HOME OF ARTICLES

“I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” (John 17:23 NKJV)

While the Lord Jesus was coming up from the water after He had been baptized by John the Baptist in Jordan, the heavens were opened to Him, and the Spirit of God descended like a dove and alighted upon Him.

The Scripture records that suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matt. 3:16-17 NKJV).

God the Father was undoubtedly the One who spoke from heaven, proclaiming His perfect love, acceptance, approval, and total delight in His Son, Jesus Christ.

Similarly, while Peter was still speaking on the Mount of Transfiguration, the Scripture records that a bright cloud overshadowed them (Peter, James, and John, his brother). Suddenly, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” (Matt. 17:5 NKJV).

Here again, God the Father affirmed His love for His Son, Jesus Christ, and His complete satisfaction in Him.

Many believers today believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Beloved Son but doubt God’s perfect love, acceptance, or total delight in them.

While you may never hear an audible voice from heaven proclaiming, affirming, or confirming to you that you are a beloved son of God or that God is well pleased in you as in the case of Jesus, the Scripture amply affirms that God loves you as much as He loved Jesus while He was on earth.

While praying for His disciples before leaving this world, the Lord Jesus revealed that God loves those who believe in Him just as God has loved Him.

Jesus said, I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” (John 17:23 NKJV).

Every born-again believer is God’s beloved!

It is crucial for you as a believer in Christ to know, believe, and walk to understand the truth that your Heavenly Father loves, accepts, and delights in you the same way He loves, accepts, and delights in Jesus Christ.

You are completely loved, accepted, and well-pleasing to God in Christ Jesus, not based on your self-righteousness, performance, or good works, but on your faith in Christ Jesus and His finished work.

Ephesians 1:3-6 – NKJV

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

The devil will pay any price or go to any length to keep you from knowing, believing, internalizing, and walking in the truth that you are God’s beloved son, just like Jesus Christ. Why?

Because the devil knows that he can only hold you in the bondage of fear as long as you are not sure that God loves you perfectly, completely, unconditionally, and infinitely as His beloved son!

Although many believers today believe and accept that God loves them, only a few believe and accept the truth that God loves them as much as He loves Jesus Christ. Many believers are still constantly harassed, oppressed, and tormented by the devil.

When you don’t accept God’s perfect love for you, you will live in constant fear and thus in bondage (Heb. 2:14-15).

1 John 4:18 – NKJV

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Your adoption into God’s family as God’s beloved son is purely a gracious gift of God to be received by faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work. You can never earn or deserve it through self-righteousness, performance, or good work.

Galatians 4:4-7 – NKJV

4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”

7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

As a new creation in Christ, you are perfectly, completely, unconditionally, and infinitely loved and accepted by God. The Scripture reveals that believers are chosen as God’s beloved in Christ before creating the world.

Ephesians 1:4 – WNT

4 Even as, in His love, He chose us as His own in Christ before the creation of the world, that we might be holy and without blemish in His presence.

Beloved, God sees, accepts, treats, and deals with you as His beloved son in Christ. God does not love you any less than He loves His Firstborn, the Lord Jesus, our “Eldest brother” in God’s family (Romans. 8:29).

Don’t allow religion or the devil to confuse you, plant doubt in your heart, or talk you out of this fundamental truth!

Just before His crucifixion, the Lord Jesus plainly said to His disciples, In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; “for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.” (John 16:26-27 NKJV).

That is a great truth!

Friend, as a born-again believer in Christ, the Lord Jesus wants you to know that your heavenly Father will promptly answer your prayer the same way God swiftly responded to his prayers while He was in the world. Why?

Jesus said, For the Father Himself loves you…” (John 16:27 NKJV).

Therefore, approach God’s throne of grace with gladness, boldness, and confidence, knowing that you are a beloved son of God in Christ and that the Father loves and accepts you and delights in you as much as He loves, accepts and delights in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

You are God’s beloved!

Don’t ever forget that.

 Prayer:

My Dear Heavenly Father, I am so excited to know that You love and delight in me as much as You love and delight in Jesus Christ. My Dear Holy Spirit, teach and help me to walk in this truth always, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our: mandate is to preserve the faith of the Apostolic Generation.

YOU HAVE GOD’S LIFE IN YOU

HOME OF ARTICLES  “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12 NKJV).   At the point of New Birth, the believers become the partakers of the very life of God—the everlasting life. Jesus said,  “ Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life .” (John 6:47 NKJV). John the Beloved testifies,  “ And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.   He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life . (1 John 5:11-12   NKJV). Everlasting life is not a future promise but a present reality, possession, or inheritance of the New Creation in Christ. The Life Jesus gives those who believe in Him is spiritual, divine, supernatural, heavenly, limitless, timeless, or everlasting. It is not inferior in any respect to the Life...

THE PARABLE OF THE TARES OF THE FIELD (Part 1)

HOME OF ARTICLES  “ The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.” (Matthew 13:38 NKJV)   After the Lord Jesus had privately explained the parable of the Sower to His disciples, He put forth another parable about the tares of the field to the great multitude that was gathered to Him by the sea. Matthew 13:24-30 – NKJV  24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;  25 “but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  26 “But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.  27 “So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’  28 “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’  29 “But he said, ...

KINGDOM LIVING

HOME OF ARTICLES  E niyekpemi Fidelis Oyinpreyebi. KINGDOM LIVING There was a challenge in how the disciples understood the presence of God to be. They had a terrible reverence for that presence. - The presence that killed Aaron’s two sons (Leviticus 10:1-2) - Uzzah died when he grabbed hold of the Ark of the covenant (2 Samuel 6:6-7) - The presence that could kill the High priest if he carnally entered the Holy of Hollies. He had to take many precautions to ensure he was ritually pure and still with a back up priest in case it all goes wrong (Exodus 28:33-35) The presence had strict protocols, living that life was a dangerous one – I believe you will agree with me too. Moses gave them very specific instructions on how to approach the mountain. They could not “come as they were” but had to sanctify themselves.  They had to wear clean clothes and abstain from sexual relations. Once they got to the mountain,  they could not contact(touch anything) or they would die. - They ...
